Night Heat

She couldn’t sleep, she had been tossing and turning for a few hours, but the heat was intolerable. Kitten poured a glass of cool water and headed for her balcony, hoping for some air. Another morning, another sunrise. It was the last day of her Christmas vacation, before she had to go back to work, so she got up early and sat on the balcony for a while.
