My Day

I love a day off in the middle of the week. I arrive at work on a Monday, and think “2 days, then a day off, woooo” It’s not that I hate my job, I don’t, but it’s an incredibly busy job, and members of the public can be very entitled, arrogant and rude, so at the end of every day, it’s bliss to just shut off, and a whole day to myself midweek? Swimming Lessons

“Oh! Most miserable wretch that I am! Why have I not learnt how to swim?” Alexander the Great

A little known fact is, I can’t actually swim…no really, in my real every day life, it’s just not something I picked up. I have 2 brothers, and my late father was a swimming instructor. Teaching me how to swim, was literally like throwing a cat in the water and hoping for the best. I do wish I could, I even took classes in my twenties, but it was not meant to be.

It’s a great analogy for my life though, I throw myself into the deep end, and thrash my way back to the edge or cling to the nearest item floating past.
