Friendship

I’ve spent the last 10 hours or so, thinking about something that was bothering me. After a fair few months, I finally took action. A friendship has been on the rocks for some time, and one of us had to take that first step.

I am petrified of confrontation, but this person has been in my life for a long time, has had my back, and I’ve had theirs. We’ve shared up and down, laughter and tears, and  many private thoughts.

Another morning, another sunrise. It was the last day of her Christmas vacation, before she had to go back to work, so she got up early and sat on the balcony for a while. She felt the sun warming the air around her, and the birds starting their morning chorus. Gift Wrapped

She was almost ready, her house was beautifully decorated, almost all the gifts were wrapped, so she could relax a little. It was just as well, her puppy, Jello, was not making the last of the wrapping easy. He had run off with the tape and the bows, but had finally passed out, right in the middle of the wrapping paper. Warrior Heart

Kitten had things preying on her mind. Snowglobe

Kitten woke and looked out the window, snow! She pulled her new sweater dress over her head, jammed on her boots, grabbed a hat, and rushed outside to build a snowman. The first snow was always the best, fresh and fluffy, no slush or dirty snow. Her handsome snowman sat in the middle of her yard, pleased with herself, Kitten leaned forward and kissed his round, cool cheek, as she dropped a top hat on his head. Perfect.
